The Future Generations Foundation (FG Foundation) is pleased to announce its 2026-2027 organization funding decisions. This year, the Board of Trustees has approved $13.8 million to support 100 organizations. This includes $12.5 Million from the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement and $1.3 Million from our partners and donors.
During this funding cycle, a diverse range of communities and organizations applied for funding opportunities, with approved grants ranging from $45,000 to $267,000. These funds, which can extend up to five years, will support critical initiatives in First Nations communities, including education, healing and reconciliation, training certifications, and cultural and traditional knowledge programs.
Since its inception, FG Foundation has now awarded $97 million in funding to 1,010 organizations, helping to create lasting change for future generations.
The organization applications will open again in November 2026 and close in January 2027. For more information on funding opportunities and FG Foundation’s work, visit www.fgfoundation.ca.
